    I wonder if it's just a typo?

  2. Hi all, a friend of mine is providing the disco music at a Thai/UK wedding. He would like to do a Thai set during the evening disco, What are the current 'must plays' for the 20s/30s crowd? It's been so long since I've been out there, and I don't have a clue myself.

  3. Yeah but they don't sell Viagra.

I actually buy such meds here in the UK, I used to buy off prescription, generic vitamin V off the internet with varying degrees of success (they all worked to some degree) then I asked my doctor to prescribe them to me. I have to pay for them as opposed to my usual free prescription meds BUT they work 100% better than the meds purchased over the internet, and they are CHEAPER, 250 baht for 4 100mg tabs that can be split into 16 25mg doses. You UK guys out there ignore any embarrassment you feel and ask your doc.

Bingo! Reader patterns change but the majority of the traffic to the site is from outside Thailand.

There is a portion of readers outside the country who wish to stay in touch with what is going on so they tune in once a week to catch up on news and gossip. They may be regular visitors to Thailand or they may not.

Well that just about sums me up perfectly, I've not visited for a couple of years now because of health issues and have come to rely on the weekly blog to keep up to date on what's happening. When I was a regular visitor, some of your articles motivated me to travel to the 'real' Thailand and hit the ground running, I thank you for that. Back in the bad old days when I was recovering from several major heart ops that almost cost my life I visited the site frequently, it reminded me of some of the great times I've had in Thailand and made me even more determined to get well and return someday, I'm sure the memories helped. Personally I'll be sorry to see you leave, Sundays will never be quite the same, I wish you good luck and every success in whatever direction your life will soon be taking you. Seems like it's going to have to be 'hey JC here' on YouTube for future info.

  5. Fact is the guy has won decisively. His pictures continue to stay on the net for the world to see and the scammers, every single one of them, is fully aware of it. Despite knowing exactly who he is, what he is doing, and having the perfect opportunity confronting him, nothing happened. They were not able to punish him one bit. No smashed camera, no kicking, nothing. The police even got a good laugh as they didn't do anything to him and no crime was committed

    Yet!

I admire his bottle, but he's put himself at considerable personal risk in a battle he can't win. LOS is corrupt from the top down, and that isn't going to change anytime soon, he's already lost the ability to walk in the Erawan area with safety, for what? the scam goes on, it doesn't look much like a win to me.

  6. really?

the tourist statistics give a different picture! or are they also faked like the gems?

I don't doubt visitor figures may be growing, but they would grow faster if so many people didn't leave with a bad opinion of the place. I personally know several people who have had poor holiday experiences in Thailand, and these are well off European professional people (the quality tourists) Thailand is so fond of saying it's targeting. One of the local pub landlords took his wife on holiday to Thailand earlier this year, his opinion of the place was very poor, in his opinion it was dirty, smelly and polluted. The constant harrasment by touts on the pavements and on the beach spoiled his holiday so much, he has said he will never come back. Other things he complained about was the poor service in restaurants (food arriving late, cold or not at all) and being charged for things he didn't order, the only thing he had praise for, was the quality of the hotel accomodation. Being in the hospitality business himself he has made his opinion known to his customers so there are now around 200 people who will think twice, before booking a Thai holiday, even if it is cheap
