Saw "Brooklyn's Finest" a couple of nights ago in a theatre. It's only "okay". Usual cop flick about inter-agency rivalries, flawed personalities, dope-dealing Mofo's, lots of killing. Good acting by Gere, Cheadle, et. al. Kind of wasted on a so-so story.

Also saw 'Edge of Darkness' with Mel Gibson. Didn't like. Boring. He needs to quit acting and go back to directing 'Apocalypto' kinda shit. That, was good. YMMV.

I found "Edge" boring also. Plot felt contrived. Gibson's acting was okay, but he didn't have a lot to work with. He kind of came off as a Dirty Harry Light.

And yes, "Apocalypto" was very good.

"From Paris With Love" with John Travolta. Travolta, a super anti-terrorism operative (presumably with the CIA) must kill about 40+ dope traffickers and middle east terrorists. I don't normally get off on violence just for the sake of violence, but this flick was different. Actually had a story line to it and the pieces fit together at the end. Lots of car chases and explosions too. If you're into action flicks, would recommend.

BTW, Travolta looks like he has taken/taking steroids. Baseball fans know how Barry Bonds' head seemed to out-grow his body. Travolta's looks the same.

Thanks for maybe the most IMPORTANT post I've EVER read on this board. Certainly a topic that all of us have probably had concerns over at some point in our p4p experiences...and even by those who "get it for free". The big thing, as other guys have noted above, somebody has brought the topic "close to home" and is an unkind reminder to us all that "it's out there" and any of us can be targeted.
