Roger the ripped kangaroo, who sprang to fame when he crushed a metal bucket between his paws with a physique that's made many humans jealous, has died at a Northern Territory sanctuary.
The much-loved alpha kangaroo had millions of fans when he died from natural causes aged 12 at The Kangaroo Sanctuary in Alice Springs.
"We have lost our beautiful boy," owner Chris Barns said.
"He lived a lovely long life and was loved by millions around the world."
"He's passed away very peacefully under his favorite witchetty bush where he liked to sleep to get out of the hot sun. It's a beautiful shady tree and we found him underneath that tree."

I saw that on the news.
Roger who is theΒ Ripped Big Red in the pics you posted died recently. Celebrity status in Oz due to his intimidating presence.

Meanwhile this is what 6 year olds are up to these days π³

Thought you would like him. Latvian artist/performer. Controversial at times.

Like I said "guessing." Thanks for that I had no idea they were so heavily involved in agriculture over there.
Bit like the Indian cane cutter in Durban π

So I'm guessing these Thais referred to in the article would be mainly "Domestic Helpers"
I wonder what was promised and how most feel now about their choices now.
I have always disapproved of this type of exploitation of disadvantaged. Not singling out this particular situation.
On another note I can't say I surprised but still angered by the lack of outside support or assistance to the Palestinians. I know here in Australia the Government is urgently arranging repatriation flights from Telaviv for Australians but seems no assistance for anyone connected to Palestine. While i don't for a moment defend Hamas I believe a majority of Palestinians don't support their actions either.
Interestingly there are more Christian than Muslim Palestinians in Australia.

I forgot about that. Explains a lot.

Argentina v New Zealand - New Zealand
England v South Africa - SouthAfrica
Doesn't seem a lot of interest in the Rugby World Cup. I wonder whether it's due to how much the game has changed.

No one uses the Motorola brick phone anymore I thought?
I had a brick, also had half a brick. I think the one Coss is referring to was in fact know as a Portable phone.

There's lots of different options now with everyone working towards a green future. Ashcrete, Papercrete, Fibrous Concrete, Composite Cement.
Lot's of R & D going on.
I once worked on a project aimed at reducing wet trades during a period of water shortage here in Sydney. Great project. The architect was a Frenchman who designed the interior of the Concorde.
Will see if I can dig up a pic of it.

Absolutely no idea what he said which probably explains why I have never been to a Billy Connolly concert π
A friend of mine once went to one of his concerts and was so pissed off because she didn't understand a word he said for the entire 90 or so minutes

Sorry but wasn't it the under British administration that this conflict kicked off after WW1?

The question and the proposal I agree is simple but the implications of the question is what I am referring to.
It just sound a bit like 1967 which once was quoted "They promised us the world and gave us an atlas!β
I just get the feeling the "Yes" vote is a watered down version of what the "No" voters want.

The Voice......no not the TV Show for aspiring performers.
This weekend we have a referendum vote on writing into our constitution a Voice to Parliament for indigenous Australians and it has become a complete and utter no idea situation. Problem being nobody can explain it in clear and simple terms for the average punter to wrap their head around.
Personally I have no idea what I will do given it's a simple Yes or No vote. You would think it pretty simple but every group with an agenda has railroaded what should have been a simple process. Even the Indigenous community are divided π³

I don't mind them to be honest. They accept "Not Interested" and leave you alone unlike the " Ah you very luck man" parasites

I only really only remember DEVO and the red flowerpot hats. Apparently their philosophy or Devolution as they referred to it was inspired by the 60's movie Inherit The Wind.
I did like their version of Satisfaction π

PNG Highlands
in Non-Thailand News

Spent 3 months working in the Highlands. Never again. These people are primitive. I saw one tribal battle in Port Moresby near Erima along the river on the way to the airport. Never seen anything so terrifying in my life. Brutal.
