spirit_of_town_hall
I'm booking either Lamai inn or Weekender, do either of these places have room safe, if they don't does the management have a secure safe which you could rely on. I will be taking a lot of cash, about 70 000 baht for my stay there, Lamai doesnt have any banks and last time I was there I was absolutely ripped off by the local shops and their exchange rates so will be changing cash in Bangkok and taking it there. Question is are the communal safes secure, anybody with any experiences.
Guest
i've been there many times and the money chagers are excellent. your atm or visa card works fine. i get good exchange rates and have never been ripped off. i stopped traveling with money long ago. only some emergency cash, some tc's and my visa. of course that may not work in cambodia. Man at Work
Weekender has a safe which worked out fine with me. Say Hi to Papa Ken, when you are there.
