Opinion on Phuket

Amongst the various sites I look at, is a consumer opinion one in the UK ( I make a very nit noi money from it ), I stumbled across this opinion on Phuket yesterday.

I am tempted to ask her for more details on where she saw naked women dancing in the street but I dont know if it would go down well.

:hubba:

"We went back in the evening and headed towards two main streets with bars and restaurants. The girls were naked dancing on the tables, and there were hostesses all around thrusting themselves on any man available (or not!)

We went down with another couple later on in the holiday and behind these bars and restaurants were sex and peep shows. Of course, being on holiday we decided to go in and look, but I will say no more. "

You have just got to love that last comment - "Of course being on holiday......." Talk about being mixed up ! The link to the full opinion and more gems is below.

I'm still laughing as I write this. Red, you are absolutely right - I can almost visualize the scene. On the positive side, maybe editorials of this type will dissuade our more righteous brethren from travelling to LOS, thereby leaving more room for the rest of us..... ::

Hey they did admit that they went down with a nother couple : kinky !

Episodes like this remind me of the Rev Fred Nile, noted Sydney morals campaigner and the man responsbile for the success of the Gay Mardi Gras in that city. Before he got the gays publicity that they couldnt buy (attempting to halt the procession with a squad of like-minded wowsers), Fred's crusade was porn. One of his more famous quotes was 'I've been into every sex shop in Sydney, and there isnt much that you could show me that I havent already seen !'. Such dedication - makes me want to flog myself whilst saying a rosary or two. Fred must have literally come in his pants with the arrival of the Net - no more creeping into sex shops under the guise of 'research' .....

I personally dont find Thailands nightlife to be anywhere near as sleazy as that seen in an Ibiza or even Kings Cross in Sydney. I suspect that these people have led very sheltered lives.

If they saw naked girls dancing from the street I am sure they were in front of Soi Katoey.

I like the part about the dry heat! Where does she live, a sauna? ::

I must have stayed in all the wrong places last November, because my experiences were the polar opposite. Maybe I've been doing it wrong?

I looked all over for naked women dancing on the tables, but could find none. Lucky b*tch! :cussing:

The part about 15 and 16 y/o girls is BS. I defy most any Western tourist to differentiate between 16 y/o and 22 y/o girls.

I would truly like to know where she's vacationed in the past that had nicer beaches??

[color:"black"] [/color] Unbelievable!!! l live here and l don't see this stuff happening, yes every now and again you might get a few of the bar girls lifting their dresses and showing their nickers, otherwise the place is very straight.(compared to other nightlife area's)

This woman must be so dumb to be caught up by the timeshare people full stop!!!! (som num nah)

I've never been to Phuket, but some of the beaches here in Oz take a lot of beating. I took them for granted until I started visiting countries with black sand, beaches where the 'sand' was still broken shells, or even pebbles. We've got some real losers down here, though : sticking a butt in the sand should be a jailable offence, IMO. Tourists aside, you can still find beaches with no sign of life : I'd imagine thats a little harder in Thailand, at least on the mainland.
