I'll be off to the LOS again in a few days and while I have been there many times, I have a need this time to NOT bring back any "guests" to my hotel room. Any suggestions on some decent/not so decent short time hotels near Thermae or in the area where I go for some discrete fun ? Names, polic

Asoke Place, Soi Asoke at the corner of Soi Cowboy.

Nana Guest House, second floor left side of the NEP as you enter.

Clinton Plaza also has a short time hotel. The entrance is in the parking lot, up the set of steps w/o handrail to the left as you enter car park, or can be acessed from some of the gogo bars over which it exists.

The PlayBoy and the Penthouse are both on the small soi that runs parrallel and behind Sukhumvit from Soi 3 to Asoke. Both of these hotels are very close to Soi 3 on that back soi.

There is also one on Soi Raum Rudee on the stetch that runs perpendicular and close to Whittayu, kind of near Lumpini Park.

They are just about all the same. You get a clean room, soap towels, etc for a couple of hours for about 350 Baht.

There are also a couple in Pat Pong. The cleanest is Baan Thai which is near Suriwong, very close to the Pink Panther gogo bar.

Maybe some one else can be more helpful with specific details for each one. Good Luck, G.

Of the ones I know:

Nana Plaza - there's two. One is on the second floor ( between Titty Twister and the stairs), but I prefer the one on the third floor (just before Carnival) because it's slightly cleaner. Both are the same price - 300 baht.

Soi 3 - I like these places! If you've read any Christopher Moore books they carry some thrill! They're apparently where Thai men discreetly take their escorts.

In front of each room is a parking bay with a curtain. You drive straight in and attendants pull the curtain around so no-one sees you go in. They're cleaner than the farang places and cheaper too - around 240 baht, I think. The menus are in Thai only and there's an interesting choice of decor. Often you walk in and get wall-to-wall-to-ceiling mirrors with the whole shabang - every colour of neon and, my favourite... the gymnasium horse!

Baan Thai in Patpong's OK, but more expensive - around 400 baht - because it's Patpong.

There's a very cheap short-time hotel in a small soi off Soi 22. It's about the first small soi after Washington Square. The Thermae girls should know it.
