shotover
I know a certain web site operator who may want to take note of the following March 24 Bangkok Post article: >> Pair Held For Selling S#x Toys Via Internet Bangkok police arrested two men yesterday for allegedly selling sex stimulants through the internet. A search at their home found drugs and sex toys worth about 1 million baht, police said. Thawal Srisalai, 32, from Thoongkhru, and Somnuek Damrongwang, 50, from Thon Buri were arrested in a sting operation by plain-clothes police. They were traced from their website, at which their e-mail addresses and mobile phone number were posted. Police first placed a 1,200-baht order for sex pills. Then both mailed the parcel and police sought a search warrant and raided their room in Laksi. Deputy Bangkok police chief Pol Maj-Gen Theparat Ratanavanich said the room was packed with a variety of sex stimulants and fake sex organs.>>
Khun_Kong
Sounds like their beef was with the stimulants, not the toys. While the headline is a grabber, the text implies something else. steffi
Why is it I can walk down Pat Pong night market and find said "fake organs with batteries" for sale at the street vendors stall? Or god forbid walk into Panthip Plaza and find hoards of explicit pornographic DVD and VCDs let alone other wares. I guess this pair was raided because it was suspected that they were involved in the drugs trade over the internet.
Guest
Probably paid the 'battery tax'.
Guest
Its easier ( in thailand) to shut down ( and grab headlines) an internet business than to collect "tea money" from it. ( street vendors are an easy take)
Guest
I think it is ok with the grugs (btw, what kind?), but the other thing is may be the start of the new campaign against prostitution in Thailand? Some day, everybody living in los will make holidays in europe or the us.
