spudsmck
I'm due to arrive at Bangkok Airport this Saturday night on Thai Airways from Los Angeles via Tokyo. Anybody know what's currently going on with SARS health checks and possible qurantines?
Khun_Kong
2 and 1/2 weeks ago: Arrived from Seattle (good ole UAL 875): Seems as long as you are not coming from a SARS blacklist country (I think Canada, HK, Taipei, China, Viet, Singapore, maybe others?), you're OK- no check, no lines, no quarantine, they just give you a card with health tips. Since they knew, obviously, that we came from Tokyo, everybody just walked through. I assume the gauntlet of gloved/gowned/masked health care workers at the door to the terminal entrance are looking at everybody for visible symptoms. How they know somebody didn't get to Tokyo (or Seattle) by way of blacklisted country, who knows???
