torrenova
I have an Orange phone in the UK (on contract, dual band etc.) but don't want to pay sky high prices for local calls in LOS. Any suggestions as to which of these is the best option. 1. Get a "pay as you go" phone in BKK - how much ? 2. Get current phone "unblocked" and buy SIM and time in BKK - does this work ? how much ? 3. Any other solutions ? Have researched boards and Orange.co.th but hope someone out there will have done this and can advise Cheers Torrenova
ultras67
1. Get a "pay as you go" phone in BKK - how much ? Saw a few in MBK for less than B2500 at the weekend. They also sell 2nd hand ones. saw an old nokia - not stylish definately chunky for B800 but will cost you less than a new one with the sim and you could throw it away if you wanted when you went home or give it to someone. 2. Get current phone "unblocked" and buy SIM and time in BKK - does this work ? how much ? depends on your phone, some phones can be unlocked, some cant. sim card package only - not sure, only 300/400 I think. 3. Any other solutions ? payphones :: see also thread / threads below phones
