legover Posted June 16, 2003 Report Share Posted June 16, 2003 Anyone up on DVD players, formats they can & cannot play, back compatibility, geographic regions for CD-ROMs, DVDs?. DST, THX, Surround, Dolby5.1, 6.1, & all the other tasty stuff. just finishing an IT project: Home Theatre PC, Rythmic Edge sound card, CD burner, DVD, video capture for personal movies, TV in, TV out, linked to a switch box that runs a second keyboard, mouse & monitor in my bedroom, monitor mounted on an adjustable 5 ft hinged bracket bolted to the wall. I can lie in bed, listen to the music (4 speakers), play porno movies, autodial, post to Nana and watch TV on the monitor w/ an RF remote to change UBC channel box in living room. Amazed it all works. I spend a lot of time in bed. Hardware: 2 x 14in LCD monitors 2 ghz AMD 2 x 40 mg HDs, Geoforce 400 Display card, 2 x keyboards & mice, Philips Rythmic Edge Sound Card PSC 703, 56K modem, Lifeview Video Capture Card, Lite-On CD Rewriter & DVDs, Keytronic Dataswitch w/ 20m cabling, TV Capture Card, various speakers, all about THB80,000 I?d like to add an amp, any suggestions (input for 4 speakers, around 400 watts would do, anybody use local/Chinese manuf amps?). Output from the sound card is great, just need more volume. appreciate input on stuff that might improve the system, display cards, sound card, anything good, esp the amp & locally made/distributed speakers. cheers legover Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
