Good Cheap ISP

With Murphy's Law in total control when I arrived back in the USA, not only was my computer fooked, my old, old employer finally shut down everyone's free ISP - I had been coasting on it for two years.

 

This left me to log on to my gf's AOL, which loads so much crap and wastes so much time and runs slow. Also AOL does bad things to IBM Thinkpads - you have to patch them after installing or they don't find modem.

 

So...Hello? I don't want to spend much. I live in Calif. I want a good cheap ISP.
