Tiger Moth
What is the normal timing of semesters or tri-mesters or ....? Part of the reason for my question comes from my understanding that, the hot season, "summer to my way of thinking" is sometime around March to June and this is when in many instances school is "closed". So, if I wanted to enroll someplace where there is a scheduled "classroom" Beginning Thai program, when might it begin? Just so I am clear, please tell me the "normal" school year for University and "high school" students, if you happen to know it. Thanks very much PS I have already given up, so don't suggest that I take English language classes
markle
The Thai school year starts April?May and finishes Feb/March. There is usually a month break in Oct. But unless your planning to do a course at Chula or Thammasart thsi has little bearing on the start times of most of the established Thai language schools. In fact I think they have courses starting all through the year. Thinking about it the Thai courses at Chula and TU are not formal full-term classes so There is no relation to formal academic year.
