ultras67
Walking up to the ground around 4pm there were maybe hundreds of tickets being sold by Thais at the different price ranges. All the ticketswere being sold at a discount - 2000B for 1500B, 1000B for 800B and so on. Someone else from work arrived at 5.30pm ( KO was 6pm) and said the same but the prices were even cheaper as they got more desparate. Most I think were scalpers - as they didnt just have one or two tickets but 10 to 30 - trying to make a quick buck in which case I hope they got stuffed. I suspect the tickets they were trying to sell were genuine ones as the main stand with the more expensive seats was not full - maybe 70% in places. The game itself was pretty good although Madrid could have taken about 6 off the Thai team if they had been trying. Even so, it was great to see the Thai team score and the totally mental reaction of the Thais around me.
gene1944
Good for the Thai team. They played well. I read in the paper this morning that three Swedes from Chiang Mai traveled via bus and "spent a small fortune" for their tickets. No mention of what constitutes "a small fortune".
