rookie
I know this post should be in the 'Visa' section, but thought it might be seen by more of those affected if posted in the 'General' section. K. Sanuk will move it if posting here was inappropriate...... Good news for long-term Thai visa holders!! No, they didn't lower they newly imposed visa fees, but they did make it easier to do the 90-day check-in. As all 'Retirement Visa' holders know, we are required to visit Thai Immigration every 90-days to inform them of our whereabouts. Sometimes having to go to Immigration is inconvenient, and many just fail to contact Immigration at their 90-day interval. Well...Immigration has just made it easier to comply with the 90-day requirement...YOU CAN NOW DO THE 90-DAY CONTACT BY E-MAIL, at their new website: www..imm.police.go.th
sanukdee
That's good news. I'm looking forward to retirement in Thailand.
lopburi3
Very interesting but I can find no such information on the immigration website; which is www.imm.police.go.th and is not a new site. In English they have no information at all about 90 day reporting now. Perhaps you got a look at a page that was not ready for prime time.
chilli13
this sounds very unreal & a bit too good to be true no?
rookie
Be Patient. The forms for the 90-day check-in should be online in a while. My info was from an interview, the other day, with a high-up Thai Immigration officer who said it is a done deal, primarily to make it easier to keep track of the long-term expats.
