Guest
M$ have released another patch to plug the holes in their swiss cheese operating system. Its another vulnerability similar to that which allowed the blaster worm in last month. BritTim
There have been six (no less) security bulletins relating to Microsoft vulnerabilities within a week. Further, one recent published fix is inadequate. Right now there is a critical vulnerability in MS Internet Explorer with no available fix. This vulnerability has been public knowledge since September 7 and is potentially very dangerous. Ideally, use a different browser. If this is not possible, there are a couple of temporary circumventions suggested on bugtraq (including a registry hack): look at the items marked "BAD NEWS: Microsoft Security Bulletin MS03-032"
