Bembaman
I have all the papers to marry officially in Thailand in hand. Can anyone tell me what is involved when one gets to the Amphur to sign the books: any appointment needed? fees? take witnesses with you? I have a daughter who is Thai with a Thai passport and born in Thailand to the Tha mrs. Do I need to take her/her papers for any reason? Does she go on the certificate in any way? Any info appreciated.
tomc12
You don't need an appointment. There are some modest fees (100-200 bahts)-I forget what they are, but one is for a witness if you don't bring one.
didierhardy
At Amper DIN DAENG they will tell you: Payment up to you. 100 Baht is enough and make the nice lady in charge - who is by the way looking for a Falang husband - quite happy.
