Ticket changes

Can someone explain the various categories of airline tickets? I go

To LOS 6 or 7 times a year sometimes staying for 3 months other times for 10 days.

I often change the return on my tickets and buy tickets in BKK.

I do this mainly to avoid high prices and scarcity in the tourist season.

But at the moment all I can seem to find are 3 month validity with 5,000b

Penalty for changing dates that includes EVA Deluxe.

Sinsin,

Nothing more complicated than airline fares.

It all depends when you travel, length of stay (min/max), cancellation fees, change fees etc etc It's a real jungle out there. The cheaper the ticket, the more restrictions you will have. Always ask for restrictions when you book.

Try travelocity.com, they have an excellent fare inquiry system

As already stated there are so many differences according to airlines but if you are flying consistantly with the same airline their regular user scheme is useful and if not a member you should join.

Recently I had a problem with wanting to change my return flight from BKK to uk and Thai airways would'nt consider it till I produced the gold orchid card then I had a choice of flights available, all in economy class at no extra charge. Even today I was told there where no seats next week with Thai airways from UK to BKK in economy till the orchid card was produced and then I got a return for £426. So now I tend to stick with the same airline.
