My question is even though my friend has full coverage for his car, what do I need to obtain to cover my butt should I get in an accident. I have a valid Ca driver's license but that's all. Guest Posted August 31, 2001 Report Share Posted August 31, 2001 cardinalblue, If you have a current valid drivers license from any the states here, you will have the same coverated as your friend without needing an additional insurance.
