Anyone know how long and how much it is to go there. Would I be better off to book a tour from my hotel? She said she found a tour for 2000 baht. That seems like it may be steep. Can be a long time to get there: a car picks you up at your hotel, drives in the Bangkok traffic to a few other hotels to pick up other guests, then to some travel agency where they move you into something bigger depending on the number of people who booked that day, then you get out of town. Same scenarion for the way back. They also might bring to some yewelry shop (they get a nice commission on what you buy) All that for 600 baht/head, unless you prefer private treatement, price depending on number of tourists.
