tomx2
Hi. I will be staying in Pattaya for 7 months. When i am not in a festive mood I would like to relax and watch a good movie. Can someone recommend a guest friendly hotel in Central or South pattaya that carries HBO cable. Price range less than 900 THB. thanks. TC. Tiger Moth
Maybe you should reconsider your HBO objective. I have HBO in my apartment in BKK and the movie selection sucks. You could buy a VCD player and purchase VCDs as an alternative.
whosyourdaddy
look in UBCTV.com I believe they have a list of partner hotels that carry cable ( 3 movie channels- HBO, Star and cinimax)
Guest
I second that: the premium channels in s.e. asia are not the same as the west. mostly re-reruns and crappy movies that never made it to the "big screen" Much better idea if you have a cdv or dvd player and rent. OCgringo
Star movies are pretty bad , lots of 10-20 year old movies with a few newer second level films thrown in, for 7 months might be better to buy DVDs
Rex7777
I once stayed at the Sabai Lodge (850 baht) and I had cable. I do believe they had a movie channel or two, along with seemingly endless ads for Tony's Disco, some eyeglass place, and Pattaya Water Park. Have you noticed portable DVD players are very cheap these days? I bet you could find one for about $150.00 Rex ::
