ultras67
Just did another run to Poipet yesterday and something very strange happened. None of the Cambodian immigration chaps decided that my same day turnaround warranted the 100-200B bribe. This backs up the info I got on Monday as a friend who did the run on Sunday wasnt asked for money either. New supervisor or commanding officer? I wonder why the change? Not that I am complaining. Not a bad day all round as I went into a couple of the casinos and won 100B! ::
Guest
I guess too many people complained about the BS. The immigration peoples' super friends probably brought the house down - that is the tourist police. They have been operating way over the red line for a long time. One time I asked them were to go for the bus to Siem Reap. They told me not to use the bus. It would not be leaving for 1-2 hours. They tooked to their waiting friend's junk of a car being used as a taxi. I declined the offered and asked where the bus place was. The same tourist police man who said the bus would be leaving in 1-2 hours, next claimed there was no bus. I left and found the bus place on my own. Called the police to have a complaint filed. Guess which tourist police man showed up?
