How far would they go to help?

The answers so far on the other thread show full commitment to helping anyone in the in-laws (I don't mean uncle or cousin of brother, etc...).

Now, i would like to ask how certain some of you feel that your thai family would pool together and pull resources in case of a grave intervention that may occur multiple costs afterwards. To the extent that they'd do as much as you would do for them. I understand some of us are insured, living in farangland, but let's think living in Thailand, fixed limited income, as it's the case of many a farang.

thanks

There is a mutual respect between my inlaws and myself. I am sure they would help out in a family crisis, and like most people would be reluctant to give to the point that it hurt the family financial situation. Nor would I expect such a thing.

But most farangs I know are insured. My wife is covered under my work's group insurance
