HI all, hope someone can let me know how to get to Poipet and back by Bus for a visa run.

Been there by cab B4 but the price just deosn't justify it.

Thanks! cool.gif" border="0

Take a bus from Bangkok directly to AranyaPrathet. Take a taxi to the border. I am actually looking into this but it is probably the cheapest way to go. Not as fun as stopping off in Pattaya but, nonetheless, you get your visa.

Thanks Rock Hard....trying to find if the casinos in poipet provide transport. Understand they even provide a hotel room for rolling 10,000 baht.

There's a couple of visa run companies do the one day trip for Baht2,500 I think. Don't know if this included the cost of the visa though.

Seem to think one of them is called the No 1 Visa Company? Usually see ads for them in the go-go bar toilets in Pattaya.

I've also run into them at Poipet myself, they run a 12 seater mini bus with an expat 'guide' to hold your hand and tell you the score at the border.

Yes, the 2,500 for the visa run from Pattaya does include the cost of the Cambodian visa. I made the trip once when I first came here myself a little over a year ago and it's not bad but I prefer to take the regular bus to Koh Kong. It's a little bit longer but a much better trip IMO.

FB, not if you say that you are staying 7 days or more. (I think) laugh.gif" border="0

Just 'say' you are staying 7 days or more and go kill an hour in Dodge City.

By the time you get back to Cambo Immi the officers will probably have changed.

I've always been charged the 100 baht quick turnaround fee at the border 'cos I'm always heading straight back into LOS.

I think Blackie is right that if you're actually going into Kampuchea you don't get charged the 'fee'.

If you can get 2 or 3 more people interested to do a visa run it's cost effective to hire a car for the day to do the trip. Or as Blackie suggested share a cab with 2 others.
