torrenova
I don't know the city so I'd like somewhere near wherever the action is (as say Sukhumvit is to NEP). Doesn't have to be luxury, just clean and friendly. A pool would be a bonus.
harihari
Of course much depends on what you are comfortable spending, but the Suriwongse Zenith is guest friendly, near the night bazaar and costs 1000 baht.
Alfmaz
If you catch a train, when you get to the Station, there will be people selling rooms, they will drive you around till you find a place you like. I stay at the "LA-THAI Guest house" in Chang Mai
torrenova
Thanks but having some guy drive me around any city I don't know looking for accommodation is just about the last thing I'd do. Will likely fly so I'll just book one and check the area out. Still looking for recommendations though.
Guest
The Anodard, its maybe 300 yards from the corner where all those bars are. They did not seem to car or charge if you brought company over. It was 350 baht with a/c for a so-so room, by so so I mean it sucked, but for 350 it was ok. Watch out when the lead bell boy says he will get you a young lady for a massage, he is kind of full of shit.
Guest
Don't go to the Amari Rincome althoug there are two Soapys out that way it is on the other end of town from what little aciton ther is....The two soapies are out near Chiang Mai University and I will admitt I thing they are staffed with coeds making a little rent money.....No bad for college girls.... Tight boxes, unlike some of those soapy workers that could park a Baht Bus in their gash!
