Internet via GPRS PCMCI Card

Hi,

does anybody has expierence to access internet via an PCMCI Card.

I heard it is possibile with an one2call chip.

 

Don't know the speed ... don't know which PCMCIA card is a good one.

Looked into the Nokia D211 ..but this cards has WLAN, etc .. additionally build in ..what all my laptop has already.

 

Any suggestions/information are highly appreciated.

Was at the Tech Convention at Queen Sirikit Center this past weekend.

 

Saw several PCMCIA cards and tried one.

 

~7K Baht, DTAC system, PCMCIA card has simcard. Plug it in, load drivers from CD, good to go. WinXP

 

Service, unlimited DL/UL = 1200 baht/month. Limited rate plans down to around 800 baht/month.

 

Service throughout most of Thailand (anywhere you can get a DTAC signal).

 

Can make phone calls from PC, send and receive faxes.

 

Axen GPRS Air Card, 7850i. Tri-band, 115.2 Kbps.
