MrX
Had cause to speak with the kind lady who works there and ask about its history. I wondered how it had got to be in such an out of the way place. She said that the great grandfather of the present owner of the shipping company which hosts/is the consulate was an old sea dog befriended by the then Thai king (Rama 5) who granted the right to the embassy to the said mariner. It has been handed down the generations. Does anybody know more about this story?..or othe like curios?....sorry for the inconsequential post etc....
