thai3
Anyone know if they teach traditional music in thai schools. I was thinking more Issan schools but I imagine they stick to the same curriculum all over. I just got a photo of the last equipment a school in Udon finally bought with some money I sent 18 months ago. Next time I might give some cash for musical instruments-peter
whosyourdaddy
Many of the good schools will have a Band program, which would include Thai tradition instruments.
Guest
If not in the school, then try your local temple. G'f's grandfather plays the wooden xylophone thing (forget name?)at his local temple every night, for extra money. He used to make them for a living, and gives private tutoring. Just a matter of approaching someone playing well, and ask if they give private lessons. I'm sure most do, if asked. HT
