Guest Posted July 6, 2004 Report Share Posted July 6, 2004 In Pattaya....I know a gal who has been making custom curtains (drapes), bedspreads, pillow cases, tablecloths, etc. for 15 years. She has recently started working on her own and two of the major curtain shops send her their more difficult jobs as her work quality is evidently better than the seamstresses that work for those stores! She works out of her small apartment which contains all her sewing machines and stuff. She's done projects from hotels to small condos. Most of the cost of drapes is in the fabric, so the bottom line depends on whether you choose expensive or less costly material. She's made curtains (drapes) for some of my friends and the the cost was less that quoted by other shops. Contact me off-list and I'll provide her and my contact info.
