ultras67
From the BBC Everton clinch shirt deal Rooney could be advertising Thai beer on his shirt next season. Everton have clinched a £1.5m shirt sponsorship deal with Thailand-based brewer Thai Beverages. Everton director Paul Gregg said: "It's very important for Everton to establish its brand in the East Asian market. It is a big market. "To have the brand associated to Everton is an opportunity to establish the club to Evertonians in Thailand." As part of the deal Everton will select three Thai youths to spend next season training at their academy. Under the deal, Everton's shirts will be emblazoned with Beer Chang, Thailand's most popular beer and bear the logo of two elephants and a fountain. Beer Chang will help set up a Thai language Everton home page while all Everton shirts, merchandise and stationery would bear its logo. The deal is the first time a Thai product has sponsored an English soccer team shirt. Everton's last shirt was emblazoned with the logo of Chinese mobile phone company Keijian. What Evertonians in Thailand? How many fingers were left after the handshakes between the scousers and the thais?
