I want to bring my tg to the uk we have known each other for 4 years and hope to get marride later . She says that it is hard for Thais to get tourist visa's but it is easier to get a fiance visa . I have looked at the web site and can find no mention of such a visa , does anyone no what she is talking about and what it involves.

Thanks

This is what I've been told about a fiance visa

with this type of visa your fiance will be granted entry for

six months during this period you would marry this visa costs

£240.00 approx, should you decide not to marry on that trip

she would be permitted to apply for second fiance visa, before

only one would be granted should you have not married with in

that period she would not be granted visa again.

you have three types of visa tourist/holiday (very realy given)

fiance (six months entry to marry within that period)

spouse (married out side of uk returning to uk to live)

as in my reply to other post, are you irish person living in uk

then she would need to apply for visa at the britsh embassy

bkk, should you live in ireland and be working in uk then apply

in dublin after entry into ireland for british visa, however

look up the british embassy bangkok site email the visa section

to clarify .

Francis

p.s. best of luck

my thai g/f got here on a tourist visa last december with no problem, although she did need funds in her account with reference from boss and a letter from me to invite her to stay in my house, or she would have needed proof of hotel booked.

one thing she didnt say was she was not my g/f, and was asked a few times, said only friend as then that would cause problem as they think she would not return. hope this is of some help
