JCK
I have a "12 month multi-entry nonimmigrant B visa" I got the visa in September. My work permit is "in the pipeline". In all the excitement, I have just noticed that the stamp in my passport expires on 30 December. Sorry to ask such a much-asked question but.....can I just go to the Silom Road office for a 1 month extension? umm where is the office? What paperwork do I need to bring? Ta very much. p.s. I need a break, someone please tell me I have to go to my old stomping ground, Malaysia.
Guest
Immigration is on South Sathorn Rd. not Silom Rd. If your work permit is 'in the pipeline' your company should be able to sort out the extension for you easily. They should also know all the paperwork requirements. aussiedoug
JCK, it sounds like you personally are not handling your work permit application, otherwise you would know where the office is. Make sure your employer has not just put it in some desk drawer, this happens all too often while the boss works out if he wants to keep you. Maybe not your case, but keep asking about it, as I understand, it should not have taken three months.
