Pescator Posted July 28, 2004 Report Share Posted July 28, 2004 Is it just me or is the Standby Counter for Air Alliance Staff tickets a dead end? I am particularly talking about when trying to board a plane from Bkk to Europe. Now I have been travelling from Bkk to Europe on Staff standby tickets plenty of times. And the only 2 times I haven´t been boarded on my first attempt was when I tried to check in via the standby counter. Same goes with the missus, and I am taking about flights with seat availability status as "open". Last week we were told 40 minutes ahead of take off, that the plane TG 950 was "full". WTF? There is no way they know that 40 minutes prior to departure. Guess she had a bad hair day Usually, I am let through the checkin gate some 20 minutes before take off.
