Guest
Think_too_mut, Is Thermal the same as "Empty" calories (no nutritional value)? Also, I always thought Vodka was the alcohol with the least amount of calories, so what about a VERY dry Martini (virtually no vermouth). The olive has calories, but just order with a twist....... Soi11
Empty calorie foods are foods that contain little, if any, diet nutrition. "Empty calories" means calories with very little else - no vitamins, minerals or other micro-nutrients like phyto-chemicals (plant nutrients). The most common empty-calorie foods are table sugar and ethanol (the kind of alcohol found in beer, wine, and spirits). By themselves, sugar and ethanol give you calories but zero nutrients. The best examples of empty-calorie food products are probably regular carbonated soft drinks, hard candies, cotton candy and candy bars without nuts. As previously mentioned, if you drink a lot (as I do on a daily basis) you should be taking vitamin supplements. Here is a list of vitimins I take every day: A 10,000 IU B-1 100 mg B-6 50 mg B-12 500 mcg C 1000 mg E 400 IU Folic Acid 400 mcg Magnesium 250 mg Potassium 100 mg SAM-e 200 mg Selenium 200 mcg Thistle, Milk 175 mg
