I remember one or two afternoon get togethers, was not really my thing though. I remember how he was quick to judge, quick to shoot his mouth off about others and their "perceived" positions in life. I never regretted pretending to be "poor" around Blackie, I am sure there are many out there who wished they had the same sense back then I never had much to do with him (by choice) but I certainly heard the stories first hand from many other expats, towards the end things got pretty fuked up. He was as friendly and outgoing as anyone in the room, but looked like crap having being robbed and/or beaten up in an incident the night before.
