MaakSiDa
What are the requirements for a Canadian visitors and/or working visa/work permit for Thai nationals? (Mother and daughter; daughter wants to travel and/or work in the restaurant of her uncle in Canada, but doesn't have job training as a cook...) Is it difficult for Thai nationals to get such Canadian visas?
Guest
Uncle would have to sponser them as family. Not simple, takes about 12 -18 months, financial guarantees etc.

It's the old story, khon Thai doesn't even really know where Canada is, but wants to go there for a couple of years to work as an (untrained) cook in order to get rich quick... Guest
well be warned that Canada Immigration can have a hard line with Thais ..... especially women. Trained cooks can get in OK, maybe even Thai dancers, but the normal Noi will have a long wait. Students caught working are often nailed etc. Now if you were oppressed from a Commonwealth country it would be a different story. Even a wife coming in on a sponsorship takes about a year. Good advice! Well, I'll try to talk her out of it then... Thailand wasn't in the Commonwealth last time I checked...
