Siemens Says Will Bid For Thailand Railway Project Friday November 19, 6:07 AM EST MUNICH -(Dow Jones)- Siemens AG (SI) is part of a consortium that will bid for a contract to build a high-speed railway link in Thailand, a spokesman for the German engineering company said Friday. "We will participate in the tender offer," the spokesman said. He said the Siemens consortium also comprises B Grimm International and Sino-Thai Engineering & Construction PLC (STEC.TH). The spokesman declined to comment on the value or other details of the order. According to Thai newspaper Nation, Siemens is bidding for a THB26 billion construction contact for a high-speed railway link between Bangkok and Suvarnabhumi International Airport, a new airport located on the outskirts of Bangkok.
