Lord Toad
I can not get to the bottom of this one so maybe you can help. I am told that Toxin?s government has virtually stopped the import of Turkeys in retaliation for Chicken export ban following bird flue. That seems totally feasible given there paranoia! There are some turkeys in the shops but not as many as usual and the butterball imports could still be last years. There are Thai bred turkeys around. Asking around the stores is at best confusing! Guest
Correct on the ban of import of turkeys. So far the ban is only on USA turkeys. I heard the excuse for the ban was because of the shrimp dumping with Thailand in the USA. To get even, Thailand has put the ban on USA turkeys coming into Thailand. www.sunbeltasia.com

A work mate breed some turkeys in issan last year and sold them off. Problem is they were running around all the time and had HUGE hulk legs on them and no breast meat.
