sayjann Posted December 4, 2004 Report Share Posted December 4, 2004 i like my hard rock and never really a fan of West End Musicals(or whatever the equivalent is in your Country). but i love Les Miserables. read the book before i was a teenager and seen most of the Films made over the Years. saw the stage show quite soon after it opened in London and i was gobsmacked........ just bought the DVD of the 10th anniversary show of the Musical and i was transfixed. featured many of the cast who had performed in the previous Years,but one hooked me. a Filipino Girl called Lea Salonga played the part of Eponine who was a tragic figure that loved a man but knew her love would never be returned. then there was her death scene and after i explained what was happening,my GF and i just cried and cried. chatting to my Filipinos friends and they all knew of her and were very proud that someone from their Country had become an International star. i got the story of her appearing on TV in the Phillipines at the age of 4-5 singing away. i also got a little story of a scandal which intrigued me,i love scandal. but back to the point. do Members like the Musicals on the stage?,do you go often?. any favourites in Cyberworld?.
