zanemay Posted December 28, 2001 Report Share Posted December 28, 2001 Recently I wrote in a trip report ("Beginner's Luck") and mentioned a Thai woman who took me under her wing during my first trip to the Kingdom. She took me on tours all over her little country province and wouldn't even let me buy gas for her car. "Her kindness and generosity gave me another strong first impression of the this wonderful country. Certainly I had never been treated like this in Europe, Canada or Mexico." Reading that over a few days later, I remembered something that happened on a solo flight to Canada that did compare, and although it is far afield from most of the subjects on the board, it is a man's story about an amazing and uplifting experience.
