Chlp
I understand the protection of "secure transactions" under the https protocol, but I'm curious what others think about this issue. Is it 100% safe to perform these web transactions from Thailand, or is there a risk of password exposure and unauthorized access to your accounts? I'm talking about transactions performed on your own machine, meaning that the exposure is on the network (including your ISP). I understand that all transactions on shared computers are intrinsically unsecure because of the possiblity of a keystroke recording software capturing all data entered via keyboard. A related question, I've heard some time ago that it was impossible to make any PayPal transactions from Thailand. PayPal supposedly disabled the account if an access attempt was made from a Thailand-based IP address. Was it just an urban legend? Is it still the case? I can't find any information on this on PayPal site. Thanks in advance.
