Car rental in Nong Khai

I am looking for a car rental place in Nong Khai for a 4 seater, for about 5 to 8 days. So far no success on the Net, every big rental firm says go to Udon.

 

Anyone here know of a NK rental firm?

Well, one Songkran, not too long ago, I needed a car in a pinch, so I called the Nongkhai Grand Hotel and asked them for help. They arranged for a rather informal three day car rental. Someone at the hotel may have received a fee, but I paid the owner of the car (who operated a car for hire service out of the bus station near the Friendship Bridge) about 1500 baht per day.

You can also rent cars from the Udon Thani Airport and drive to Nongkhai.

 

Take a look at this site, which seems to have the best prices for an economy car from this airport (I happened to be in the middle of booking, when I thought I'd check and see if any of Nanaplaza.com's advertisers handle car rentals. Not that I could see.)

Thank you for that. What kind of car was it? I never noticed a car rental place at that little bus station, but then again, I didn't look.

 

I was aware I can rent cars in Udon, but will be coming over the bridge, and picking up a car in NK is just easier than first jumping on a bus to Udon.

 

I rented a Honda City last time in Issaan, but much rather drive something a bit more substantial, like a pick up truck. Unfortunately, when I tried that at Udon Airport, they didn't have one.
