Sawadee Sea View in Pattaya

All of my attempts to secure a room on New Year's Eve have failed with the exception of the above hotel. Has anyone stayed at this specific hotel? Is it near the excitement? Any problems with this property? thanks. -Pat

about 10-15 minutes to walk to the Nightlife, its in North Pattaya, near the beach.

 

The Sawadee Hotels are not so great. The rooms are unpleasent, but rather cheap.

I had taken a look in two hotels from that [color:"purple"] [/color] Group three years ago. Then i get an other hotel. (small not so clean rooms, lazy staff)

[Sukhumvit]

Looks alright, maybe a bit functional. But if you're not bothered about a/c, large shower rooms, inch deep carpet, cable tv, fridges in room etc and just want a place to crash then it's alright.

 

Nightlife: you come out of the hotel and diagonally to your left you'll hit a couple of very small shop house bars in about, ooh, 30 seconds. If you continue left up the soi you've got a small beer bar complex on 2nd Road. That's about a 5 min walk.

 

On 2nd Road you can walk another 5-10 mins left to the beer bar complex top of soi 9 or a little further to the madness that are sois 7&8.

 

If you came out of the hotel and turned right then you're on Beach Road in a minute or so. Jump a baht bus to the beer bar complexes, such as Best Friend, or to the sois nearer Walking St where you'll find the go gos such as Classroom, Kittens/Penthouse etc. You'll be there in minutes.

 

If you like walking around then it's all within walking distance. Nothing to it really.
