nkped Posted July 24, 2005 Report Share Posted July 24, 2005 Was recently contacted by the bank for one of my credit cards. They inquired as to whether some charges in Canada were mine. They weren't; have not been in Canada in almost four years. I was actually quite impressed that the bank caught these without any inquiry from me because the dollar amounts weren't out of line with my spending patterns. Further, they have no problem at all when similar charges from Thailand show up a few times a year. Another really odd and disconcerting thing. I haven't carried that card for several months and the only things charged to it were automatic payments for a couple of utility bills. And yes, the card was still in my desk drawer.
