changnoi Posted September 25, 2005 Report Share Posted September 25, 2005 Just a quick post - Leaving the uk this week with Emirates and no visa on my uk passport... return flight some moths in the future.... Emirates girl at ticket counter was reluctant to let me check in. Said without ticket ex-thailand within 30 days and lack of extended visa she couldn't allow me on the plane, otherwise Emirates would face big fine from LOS emigration (?) I was pleasant, had time, asked for supervisor. She gave me the same story. I took a good while to persuade them, letting them see my travel history documented in my passport... Wouldn't mention it, BUT at Dubai I saw two other non-Thais getting the same treatment, although don't know their nationality. It's an old chestnut. Still sometimes comes up however. And Emirates should know better. Saying that, we made an emergency landing in Warsaw en route, and the pilot had announced we were landing in Budapest :0 Quite a trip.
