ricosuave Posted August 31, 2001 Report Share Posted August 31, 2001 Hi all, im planning a 3 month jaunt around south east asia, and having searched this forum, ive found most of what i need to know, however two questions remained that i wasn't able to find any answers for. Firstly does anyone know when the Chaing Mai flower festival is for 2002. I know it is supposed to be the first weekend in February, but they could choose to hold it on Friday 1st Feb-Sunday 3rd Feb, or Friday 8th Feb-Sunday 10th Feb. Anyone know which one. Secondly regarding Ko Samui, i know the New Year is very busy, and i plan to arrive sometime in early January. Do a few of the tourists clear off immediately after new year, giving me a chance of getting cheap accomodation, or is it still packed solid on, say, 4th January. Also what is the weather like then. I know it sounds like im planning this with military precision to dates and times, but i have two visa runs to fit in, and a hell of a lot of places to see.
