Orangutan
You're right sayjann, Danny was a rare talent, and profound songwriter. Ultimately his heroin addiction, like many other brilliant artist of that era caused him to crash and burn. I toured w/Neil and Crazy Horse when I was working for Warner Bros./Reprise 1969-1971. I'm still listening to those albums today. -OT ::
limbo
There's some timeless stuff recorded in that area. Touring with Neil must've been pretty interesting. Bin on the road myself but mainly in the late 8tees and throughout the 9tees. Heroin was still a problem for some.
sayjann
Whitten wrote 'I Don't Want To Talk About It' and the version by Crazy Horse proves how crap Rod Stewarts version was....... Neil Young is well documented about his guilt about firing Whitten for the 2nd time and giving him the Money for a ride home. but the Money was spent on a fix which proved fatal........ always enjoyed seeing Young with Crazy Horse........awesome Musicians and LOUD...........
