rickfarang
I have a Windows XP system that I brought from the U.S., and my wife tried unsuccessfully to use it on her university's website. The site installed a custom Active X addition to Internet Explorer, and the addition opens a window with the web page, so I know its working, but the text that the Active X addition displays is garbage. It is supposed to be Thai text. I have added Thai to the Languages control panel, and I have added Thai fonts, and regular web pages from all over the Internet display the Thai fonts correctly. There is something that I apparently overlooked and did not show up on my web searches. Anybody got any ideas?
elef
Sometimes I get thai text sometimes garbage (sometimes on the same webpage), but if you mark the garbage and select encoding and thai you get what you want. ::

Kite_Flyer
I have Thai language support enabled on my laptop but had problems with the ThaiSoft Software Dictionary displaying Thai text as garbage. I resolved it by doing the following - control panel regional options advanced tab select a language to match the language version of the non Uni-code .......... change it to Thai reboot Not sure if this will help you but it may be worth a shot.
