Unidentifed Body of a Man Dumped in Ditch near Watyarn Temple

Mysteries surrounding the death of an unidentified Thai man.

 

At around 15.00 pm of 23rd July 2006, Detective Constable Winai Hohrien, responsible for the Crime Investigation Unit from Banglamung Police Station, Chonburi, had received a report that the body of an unidentified man was dumped on the side of the road, some 5 km away from the nearest village, in Chakngaw area, being in the compound of Watyaranasungwahram Temple, Banglamung, Chonburi, some 20 Km east of Pattaya City.

 

After the report, police and the Sawangboriboon Rescue Foundation rushed to the scene. They found a battered body, belonging to that of a man, of Thai national, aged around 35-40, dumped on the side of the road. The police suspect that the body may have been dumped there for as long as 10 hours, judging from the condition of the body.

 

At the scene of crime, police discovered a few blood-stained bricks which they believed had been used as the weapon of the crime. Police had not yet established the exact identity of the dead man because he did not carry any I.D on him. No one, was able to identify the body either. However, the police suspected that the body may have belonged to a gang member of one of the builders working in the area, who had been involved in fight with another. All evidence found at the crime scene was gathered and the body sent to The Forensic Experts to establish the exact details of the deceasedâ??s identity and the cause of death.
