"Running in Paradise" race was in june lots of pics .. elephants & monks in saffron robes along the raceway. marathon winners were from TPE, China, HK, US, THA GB & Aus women swept the 1/2 marathon. Thai men swept the 1/2 marathon Thai, men & women, swept the 10K .. author called the Andaman Sea water cold .. obviously has not been in the eastern Pacific. sayjann Posted October 13, 2006 Report Share Posted October 13, 2006 i used to run for recreational purposes of distances from 1 Mile to Marathons. i wouldn't fancy the run on Phuket,i would imagine the humidity would be a problem. i couldn't cope with heat and humidy over long distances. remember running in Copenhagen when on the Day of the Marathon they recorded the highest Temp since records began.......i really suffered....... sayjann Posted October 25, 2006 Report Share Posted October 25, 2006 i used to carry my fags with me and stop off along the route and have a good drag. i remember in Stockholm i forgot them but saw a Swedish couple having a picnic and as they smoked i asked if i could have a fag..... the 2 glasses of wine they offered me went down a treat as well.......
