Guest Posted September 11, 2001 Report Share Posted September 11, 2001 There is something on the back of the BKK Post today about some proposal to put metered taxis into Phuket (I think it is Phuket??)....all the tuk-tuk drivers are up in arms because they think they will lose out as "tourists will prefer not to be ripped off". Possible answer - don't rip them off then !!!!?? This strikes me as similar to the smaller stores petitioning for the larger stores to operate under reduced hours.
